Our Management
Harold Jennings
Well, who would have ever thought I would be in the food service business with a finance degree and a vast knowledge of the construction industry. Not me! To be truthful, It is what I always wanted to do. My dream was to have the best Hot Dog and coldest beer in town. So, I got half way there. I suppose growing up with my family, most of them in the family business; I just thought that was what I would do with the rest of my life. I would not change back now for anything. The construction industry was fun work at one time but now, I am not sure. It was a tough business when my family business closed in 2002. We were around the Spartanburg area for over 80 years.
I am thankful for the morals, hard work ethics, and values past down through my father and Grandfather's business Jennings Glass Co. that I am able to try and transmit to my employees today. A friend always tells me "folks watch what we do, not what we say". If I think back, it's what they always tried to convey to me.
I have heard the term "You don't run a restaurant, it runs you". I do find that you can let that happen but I have been blessed with good employees to delegate to and I get to spend some time with my wife Marsha, and two girls Ellie(12) and Katie(2). Today I am living out a dream that I always had and God made that possible when I opened the restaurant in 2004.
Kathy Farr, manager
I was in Rack Room Shoes one day and got helped by the nicest lady. It was a pleasant shoe buying experience if there is such a thing. A couple of months later she came in the restaurant. I remembered her from the shoe store, spoke to her, and she said “I’m not working there anymore” I hired her on the spot. Kathy is the hardest working woman I know and is my only other full-time person. Kathy balances work, Super Mom, Super grandmom, Church, and all her other hobbies. Talk about multi tasking..
